Before you can increase your faith, you will need to understand what faith is.
Faith is simply believing God’s word in your heart and then speaking God’s word with your mouth (See my article “What is Faith” on my BLOG). The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 10:16-17 that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. In verse sixteen he quotes an Old Testament passage of scripture from Isaiah 53:1 when he says, “Lord who has believed our report?” Isaiah chapter fifty three is a prophecy foretelling what would take place on the cross. Isaiah proclaims that Jesus would bear our sins and He would also bear our sicknesses/diseases and pains. He proclaimed our forgiveness and our healing. Faith comes by hearing these two unchangeable truths over and over again. Notice that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. You must first hear God’s word with your mind. At this point you will have to decide if you believe God’s word is true. If you believe God’s word is true then you will receive it into your heart. Now that God’s word is in your heart you can hear it again my meditating on it. As you are meditating on God’s word, by thinking about it and rolling it over and over in your heart and even muttering it under your breath or out loud, emotions of hope will attach to God’s word in your heart. Now that God’s word is in your heart and hope is rising inside of you begin to see yourself possessing God’s word. Once you can see yourself possessing God’s promises or you can see yourself being molding into the image of the word, God’s word has conceived inside of you. It’s like a seed germinating in the ground. Your confession of the scripture that you are meditating on is going to do two things. It’s going to water the scripture (seed) in your heart and cause it to grow. It’s also being spoken into this natural world that you live in. Once it is spoken in this natural world God can give substance to it in this natural world. In order words God will make it manifest in your life.
Note: If you just speak God’s word without it coming alive inside of you it will not produce anything. You must meditate on it until hope is attached to it and then you must see it in your imagination. Once it comes alive in you, you can confess it with great confidence, for God will surely bring it to pass in your life.
Your faith is increased by hearing God’s word, receiving His word into your heart, meditating on His word until hope rises up inside of you. See yourself, in your imagination, partaking of or possessing the promise you have asked God for.
For example if you are sick, diseased, in pain, or been injured you can find a scripture in the Bible that promises you healing. You could use Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24, Psalm 103:1-3 or hundreds more. Let’s use 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed. The first thing you are going to do is hear this scripture with your mind. Next, you chose to believe this scripture is truth, so you receive it into your heart. Next, you mediate on this scripture by saying it over and over in your heart. As you are meditating on it hope is going to attach to the scripture in your heart. This is the job of the Holy Spirit. He is inside of you. He is called the Spirit of Truth. He gives life to the word of God you have put in your heart. Next began to see yourself healed. When you can see yourself healed God’s word in now alive inside of you. Next with your mouth confess, “By Jesus stripes I am healed.” Continue to mediate on the scripture in your heart and confess it with your mouth until it manifests in your body.
Faith will not only bring you all the promises of God but it can also be used to transform your life into the image of Jesus. For example; someone offends you and hurts you. You have become angry, resentful, and bitter.
Just a little note: Offence and fear work exactly the same way faith works. You hear it or see it. You determine it is true. You receive it into your heart. You meditate on it until an emotion of hurt, anger, resentment or bitterness is attached to it. You relive what was said or done to you. Then you see yourself getting even or some other actions and then you do it.
All these negative emotions and actions are not representing Jesus therefore you can use your faith and change them. For example you hear or see this scripture Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. You believe this scripture is truth, so you receive it into your heart. You mediate on it until hope is attached to it. You see yourself forgiving the one who wronged you. Then with your mouth you confess, “Lord I forgive them.” With your faith you released the hurt out of your heart through the scripture that instructs us to forgive. In doing so you were transformed into the image of Jesus.
Note: The Holy Spirit may have some specific instructions for you. Just simply obey what He tells you to do.  
Your faith is like a spiritual muscle. The more you exercise it the more it increases. Living by faith is the most secure life you will ever experience. God’s word is true. God cannot lie. God’s word has a promise in it that will meet any need you may have. Simply see it or hear it. Receive it as truth with your mind. Let it go into your heart by meditating on it. Let the Holy Spirit give life to it which will give you hope. See yourself possessing it in your imagination and then confess it until your salvation (answer to your prayer) manifests in your life.
We are the Just and we are instructed to live by faith.

When God created man He created Him in His likeness and image.
God’s Spirit of love was in man and empowered him to walk with God and to love one another.
God placed two trees in the Garden of Eden, the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
He told Adam not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
He told Adam if you eat from this tree you will surely die. Adam committed the first sin when He disobeyed God by eating from the forbidden tree.

Sin is simply lawlessness. God’s word is His law. If you break His word you are lawless and have sinned against Him. God gave His people Israel His laws through Moses. The Laws of Moses reveal the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that Adam chose to eat from. Everyone would eats from this tree will surely die. The cornerstone or foundation of the Law of Moses was the Ten Commandments. If you obeyed these commandments you would be considered righteous before God and you would get to enjoy the great blessings of righteousness. However if you broke any of these commandments you would be considered unrighteous before God and you would be cursed with horrible curses. The blessings for keeping the Law of Moses and the curses for breaking them are recorded in Deuteronomy 28.

Jesus condensed these Ten Commandments into two. He said if you love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and if you love your neighbor as yourself you would fulfill the entire law. God is love. His commandments are to love Him first and foremost and to love one another. The definition of God’s love is to prefer others above yourself. The greatest act of love is to lay your life down for someone else. You obey God’s commandment to love by making yourself a servant to others. When you exalt yourself above God and others you are sinning against God. The result of sinning against God is always death.

When Moses first gave these commandments to the Israelites they said they would obey them. However within just a few shorts days they had made a golden calf and began to worship it. They never did, nor could they, obey these simple laws which commanded them to love God first and to love others as themselves. These two laws to love were impossible to keep. Even to this very day they are impossible to keep. Remember all who eat from the Law of Moses will surely die.

When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden he was separated from God. Sin entered into man. God’s Spirit of love left man. Man’s entire being (spirit, soul and body) was filled with a void after God’s Spirit left him. All people are now born with a great void in their heart to be loved, accepted, and to have a sense of value and purpose. This void in man’s heart drives him to try and fill it. This void causes man to exalt himself. The wisdom in man’s heart that is caused by this void is called the sin nature. The sin nature in man deceives him. The wisdom of sin in man deceives him into thinking something or someone can fill this void. He looks to things, possessions, money, people, power, etc. to give him love, acceptance, an identity, value and purpose. The problem is none of these things can fill the void. Everyone is looking to get this void filled. People look to someone to make them happy. When they fail they blame each other for their misery.

When Adam sinned he also lost the dominion of this world to Satan and he became, and still is, the god of this world. Satan can easily control man and manipulate him by tempting him with the material possessions, comforts, pleasures, wealth and people of this world to fill the void in his heart. However all these temptation violate the law to love and therefore only produces death. The Bible calls the sin nature in man, the “flesh”. It is impossible for your flesh to put God first and prefer others above yourself. Man is in a horrible condition. He has a great void in his heart that he cannot fill and he has the devil constantly deceiving him by tempting him the fill the void in his heart with the things and people of this world.
The good news is God has a solution to man’s horrible dilemma. When God gave the children of Israel His commandments He knew they could not keep them. He knew man’s flesh would deceive Him to always exalt himself and make himself first. He instructed Moses to build a Tabernacle, establish a priesthood, and to offer animal sacrifices. In His great mercy He allowed man to bring an animal, to the priest, to stand in his place as a substitute when he committed a sin. God’s law requires innocent blood to atone for sin. When someone committed a sin they could bring an animal to the priest to stand as their substitute. The offender would lay his hands on the animals head and the sin he committed would be transferred to the animal. The innocence of the animal would be transferred to the offender. God’s judgment for sin would fall on the animal and it would be killed. The innocent blood of the animal testified to God that an innocent death has taken place to pay for the offender’s sin; therefore the blood of the animal justified the sinner. However the blood of animals could not permanently forgive sin but could only cover the sin until the next time you sinned. God did everything He could to keep His judgment from coming on His people. He established a daily sacrifice, a weekly sacrifice, a monthly sacrifice and a yearly sacrifice. However the children of Israel would not keep the laws that governed the sacrifices and the entire system fell apart and God’s wrath eventually fell of the people and they were carried away into bondage.
This entire system was only put in place until Jesus came. It was only a type and shadow of what would take place on the cross.

God demonstrated His great love for you and all mankind by sending His only begotten Son to become your substitute. Jesus was the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the whole world.
God needed innocent human blood to pay the debt for human sin. The problem was no one was perfect. God loved you so much He sent His perfect Son. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life making Him the perfect sacrifice to pay for the sins of man once and for all. Adam’s sin was not passed down to Jesus for His Father was God. Jesus was God in a human body. He revealed God’s great love and compassion for man by forgiven them, healing them, delivering them, etc. He demonstrated His great power and dominion in the world by the many signs and wonders He performed. He completely obeyed the Law of Moses. He fulfilled all the prophecies foretelling His coming and what He would do. But the whole reason He came was to give His life for you. On the cross God placed all your sins and the sins of the whole world on Jesus. Your sins were transferred to Jesus and Jesus’ righteousness was transferred to you. Then God judged Jesus for you sins. Jesus died on the cross and shed His innocent blood. Jesus’ blood now testifies to God that your sins have been paid for in full. Therefore Jesus’ blood forever justifies you before God. God will never impute (count) your sins against you. When you do commit a sin and God’s judgment comes to you it sees the blood of Jesus on your heart and passes over you. You are now forever forgiven and made righteous in God’s sight.

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ. All who believe this gospel become born-again. Your sin nature that ruled your spirit and soul died with Christ, was buried with Christ, and you resurrect with Christ a brand new person. God’s Spirit of love comes into your heart. The void to be love, accepted, and have a sense of value and purpose is filled. Your relationship with God is restored. Just as the Law of Moses was the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the Tree of Life. All who eat from the Tree of Life have eternal life and will never die.

The truth of the gospel fills the void in your heart. Sin loses its power to deceive you. You no longer have to yield to sin’s lies because you know that you are loved, accepted, and have sense of value and purpose.
Sin is no longer an issue with God. Jesus paid the price for all sin to be forgiven for ever. Now that you are born-again you have much to learn about who you are In Christ, what you can do In Christ and what belongs to you In Christ. However sin still produces death when you yield to it. The good news is God’s amazing grace empowers you not to sin. However because our bodies have not been redeemed yet, only our spirit and our souls, we still have to deal with the flesh. We can still hear its wisdom in our minds. We are instructed to renew our minds with God redemptive truth so that we can discern our thoughts and not listen to the wisdom of our flesh. However we will not be perfect at doing this, so when we do sin, we are instructed to remember the cross and our redemption In Christ. When we do sin against God we are to simply receive our forgiveness that has been provided for us. You are now a  son of God and an heir of God. You are loved by God, accepted by God, very valuable to God and you have a great purpose and destiny in God’s kingdom and as His representative on this earth. When you sin simply repent, receive your forgiveness, learn from it, forget it and move on with your Heavenly Father who loves you so very, very much.
If you have never invited Jesus to come into your heart pray this prayer from your heart and you will become born-again.

Heavenly Father I believe Jesus came to this earth to become my sacrificial Lamb, my substitute. I believe He bore my sins and gave me His righteousness. I believe after three days He rose again from the dead. I invite you Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Cancer is a giant that roams through our land mocking our religion, medical science and nutrition.
It is an incurable disease.
It is terminal.
Once you are afflicted with cancer, your days are numbered.
Medical science and nutrition can slow it down and even put it in remission but it will come back. Each time it comes back, it comes back with a vengeance.
I have watched many of my family and friends die of cancer. It is a very cruel and evil disease. It has no mercy and takes your life little by little until you are reduced to nothing. By the time it is finished with you, you are welcoming death to take you, just to get some relief.

I personally don’t think medical science will ever find a cure for cancer. If you will use common sense, it is quite simple to understand.

The Medical industry is a great big business that accounts for one sixth of the American economy. If cancer was cured it would literally cost the medical industry billions of dollars. I hate to tell you this, but there is no way the medical industry is going to let anyone find a cure for cancer. I do not believe the medical industry wants to cure cancer they only are interested in treating cancer.
I want you to think about something before you criticize me.
We have the greatest minds on the earth in America. We are funding medical research with billions of dollars. When was the last time a cure for a disease, any disease, was found? Please do not misunderstand me. I am not against medical science, in fact I truly thank God for it. It has saved the lives of millions of people. It has given a better quality of life to millions as well. I am just saying, “It is what it is”.

To answer the question, “Is there a cure for cancer?” the answer is a resounding “YES”, there is a cure for cancer. There has been a cure for cancer for two thousand years. Cancer is a spirit that attaches itself to humans and manifests itself with tumors and flesh eating characteristics.
Jesus called sickness and disease the devil. All sickness and disease is a curse. Sickness, disease and pain are judgment for sin.
​All sickness, disease and pain are recorded in Deuteronomy 28:15-67. It is called the Curse of the Law. Under the Old Testament you were greatly blessed if you could obey all of God’s laws and you were cursed with the Curse of the Law if you broke any of God’s commandments. The problem was no one could completely keep God’s perfect laws of love and righteousness. Therefore everyone was found guilty before God and everyone partook of the Curse of the Law.
The good news is God knew our predicament and sent us a Savior. Jesus came to this earth and demonstrated God’s great love for mankind. Jesus healed everyone who came to him. There is not one account in the Bible of someone coming to Jesus and not getting healed. Jesus healed them all and Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Jesus came to this earth to free us from Satan’s dominion and from the Curse of the Law.

On the cross Jesus did two things that will empower you to receive healing from any and all sicknesses/diseases.
First He bore your sins and died on the cross. He paid the debt for your sins with His innocent blood. His blood testifies to God that He died and paid the price in full for your sins. Therefore Jesus’ blood justifies you before God. God will never impute (count) your sins against you. You are forever forgiven and free from all condemnation. No one has a legal right to condemn you even when you sin, for Jesus has already paid the debt for your sins for your entire life.
The second thing that took place is Jesus broke His body for you. God not only placed on Jesus all your sins but He also placed the judgment for your sins on Jesus. Jesus bore the entire Curse of the Law on His body. That curse broke Jesus’ body. Jesus redeemed you from all sin, therefore no one can ever condemn you.
He also redeemed you from the Curse of the Law, therefore no one can ever judge you. You are free from all condemnation and all judgment. The gates of hell cannot prevail against these two truths.

Cancer is judgment for sin! Jesus bore cancer on the cross and redeemed you from it.
It is in your body illegally. Satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy your health. He is a murderer, a liar and a thief. The truth of your redemption in your heart and spoken out of your mouth will make him (cancer) leave your body. You must resist the devil (cancer) steadfast in the faith. Jesus came to give you life and life more abundantly. We overcome in this world with our faith. Faith will move this mountain of cancer out of your life. The truth of your redemption in Christ will make you free from this cancer in your body.
Jesus has given you power over all evil spirits and power to cast them out.
Cancer is an evil spirit that you have complete power over.

Cancer is like a Goliath in our land. When Goliath stood before the armies of Israel they all trembled with fear. Even King Saul was terrified. However there was one young man named David who had been anointed by God. When David heard Goliath taunting the Israelites he said, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine?”
He told the king not to fear for he would go out a fight the giant.
David is a picture of a believer in Jesus Christ who is anointed by God. We have Almighty God living inside of us, so who then can be against us?
David went by the brook and collected five smooth stones and put them in his shepherd’s bag. Then he ran toward that giant and he said, “You come against me with a sword and a shield but I come against you in the name of the God of Israel whom you have defied”. David put the rock in his sling and hit the giant between the eyes and killed him. This cancer has not come against you but it has come against the God who has redeemed you with His own blood. The five stones that David took is a picture of the word of God’s grace that redeemed you at the cross. If you will put the word of God in your heart and speak it to that giant called Cancer it will slay that giant and it will slay it every time.

​Medical science deals with the symptoms of cancer. Cancer is an evil spirit. It will take a spiritual weapon to kill it. God’s word is the sword you need to slay the cancer that has invaded your body which is God’s temple. If you will use your faith and fight this cancer with God’s word you will slay it and be free from it.

Most all cultures in the world understand that there is evil and evil spirits in this world. Our western culture, even in our churches, look at them more as a myth than anything else. We basically believe there is a God however He is the one that does the good and the bad. The Bible is very clear that God is good and the devil is bad. We are instructed to equip ourselves with the truths of the Bible so that we can endure the devils attacks against us.
The Bible gives us much information about the devil and evil spirits. It also reveals his tactics against us and informs us how to recognize him and how to defeat him in our lives.
God created Satan. His name was originally “Lucifer” which means, “son of the morning”. He was one of God’s most beautiful creations. He was created with musical instruments in his body. He was given great wisdom. These are scriptural facts describing Lucifer before he was cast out of heaven.
There are other scriptures that may point to this line of thought. In heaven we know, through the scriptures, that Michael and Gabriel are arch angels. I believe that Lucifer was also an arch angel, making three arch angels. We can assume that one third of the angels were under the command of each arch angel. One day pride entered into Lucifer’s heart and he decided he should sit as God. He conspired with the third of the angels under his command and they all followed him in his attempt to take over heaven. God cast Lucifer out of heaven to the earth. Many of the spirits that were cast out with him were cast into hell, which some of them will be released during the seven years of tribulation that is coming on the earth.
We see Satan in the Garden of Eden tempting Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. He tempted them with the same sin that got him kicked out of heaven. He told them if they would eat the forbidden fruit they would be like God. The reality was they were already like God because they were created in God’s image and likeness. Satan’s greatest scheme against you is to confuse you about your identity. We also see him entering into Judas Iscariot right before he betrayed Jesus. He also placed thoughts in the minds of a couple named Ananias and Sapphira, in the book of Acts, that got them both killed.
Jesus came to this earth to redeem man from all their sins and reconcile them back to God. Jesus’ blood now justifies us before God making us righteous in His sight. All those who accept Jesus into their heart are given, as a free gift, His righteousness. God also places us in Christ. Our new identity, as a Christian, is in Christ. We are now righteous and accepted by God as His sons and daughters, which also makes us heirs of God.
Satan is a spirit and he can put thoughts in your mind. You can hear his thoughts. This is how he controls the world. He rules this world through man. He deceives them in their own mind and controls them and manipulates them to do his evil works on the earth. He also has power to afflict you with sickness, disease, and pain. He is very real and has great power to do many supernatural things.
The truth of our new identity in Christ empowers us to resist his great lies. When we accept Jesus into our hearts God give us a brand new spirit, a new heart and He puts His Spirit in us. When we renew our minds to these powerful truths it equips us to rule and reign over Satan and his entire evil kingdom.
To answer the question, “Who is the devil?” he is God’s enemy. He hates God and hates mankind who God created in His own image. Therefore he is your enemy. He is very real and has great spiritual power to deceive you, kill you, steal from you, and destroy you. Your only hope of any peace, joy and love on this earth is in Christ. Jesus delivered us from Satan’s power and translated us into His kingdom of light. Jesus stripped Satan of his power to condemn us by redeeming us from all sin and forever forgiving us. Jesus also empowered us to undue the devils work in the lives of others. He gave us power over all devils and power to cast them out. The devil is very real and very powerful however against a believer who has equipped themselves with the armor of God he is no threat to us. We will defeat him every time.
After the rapture of the church Satan will enter into a person the Bible calls the “anti-christ”. He will rule this world for seven years. At the end of seven years Jesus will return to this earth with all His saints and defeat the anti-christ and his armies at the battle of Armageddon. After the battle Satan will be cast into hell for one thousand years. At the end of the thousand years he will be released from hell to return to the earth for a short season. He will gather an army against King Jesus who is now reigning on the earth. God will reign down fire from heaven and defeat Satan’s army. After this, Satan will be judged and cast into a lake of fire for all eternity.

If your marriage is falling apart I know what you are going through.
I married the girl next door.
We started dating when she was 14 and I was 15. She is the only girl I have ever loved.
We got married three days before I graduated high school. We were both eighteen. I joined the army so I could support us.
Six years into our marriage it was falling apart at the seams. At this time I made a commitment that I would seek the Lord with all my heart. I had grown up in church but I wasn’t convinced that God was real. I knew I was in trouble and could not fix my marriage on my own. I figured if God was real He could help me. So in January 1983 I set out on my journey to find God. I got up early every morning and I prayed for one hour before I went to work. I took my Bible to work with me and read it during my breaks and lunch. Within just a few short days God showed up and revealed Himself to me. I was amazed that He was really real. He took me by the hand and He walked my marriage from a place of hell to a wonderful place of love, respect and peace. I want to share some of the steps I took to save my marriage.

The very first thing I learned was how to forgive. Before I learned to forgive, my wife and I would argue and she would always say very condescending and hateful words to me. She was very quick of her feet and could argue circles around me. She would always frustrate me so I would just walk away to a place where I could think. I would think about what she said and come up with a response. So I would track her down and give her a piece of my mind. To my surprise she could never see the wisdom in my response and she would chew me up one side and spit me out the other, so to speak. As I was learning to walk with God He taught me, to just forgive her, when we would get in an argument. So instead of coming up with a response I would  go to my room, shut the door, and say out loud, “Lord I forgive her and I thank you for her, for she is Your gift to me.” I would say it over and over and to my surprise the hurt would take wings and fly away. It was amazing.

One of the big reasons for many of our fights is I was very lazy. I would not help out around the house. My wife would have to nag and nag and nag to get me to do anything. In my mind I reasoned, “If I help her too much she will expect me to do more.” I reasoned, “If I wash the dishes, I’ll be struck with always having to wash the dishes.” This is what you call a stronghold in your thinking and it was causing great problems in our marriage. One day as my wife was at work the Lord spoke to her and said, “Quit nagging your husband.” My wife responded, “Lord if I don’t nag him he won’t do anything.” The Lord just repeated Himself to her. My wife said to the Lord. “OK Lord but you will see that I am right.” This was on a Wednesday. And she was right, for the next three days I did not do anything. On Friday evening our church was having a special guest speaker and we attended. At the end of the service the minister ask if anyone want to know what God’s will was for their lives to come up for prayer. Well I was the first one in line. As I was walking up to the alter the Lord spoke these words to me, “If you weren’t so blame lazy I could tell you would to do.” That night my life forever changed. After the Lord said those words to me I change my thinking. I decided if I saw anything that needed to be done I would do it, so that, my wife would not have to. That was in 1983 and my wife has never had to nag me since.

Within the first year of making a decision to seek the Lord He had already taught me how to forgive and changed me from being lazy to being diligent. Things were getting better but were a long way from being happy.

When my wife was twelve or thirteen years old a friend of their family molested her. She never told her parents. After this experience she made a decision, in her heart, that no man would ever touch her again without her consent. After we were married I liked to touch, and I figured it should be OK since she was my wife. However if I touched her without her consent she would become very angry. We both agreed she had a serious anger issue. One day between 1984 and 1985 the Lord spoke to her and He told her she did not have an anger problem but she had a fear problem. He instructed her to forgive the man who had molested her. She did and an amazing transformation took place. It no longer bothered her when I touched her without her consent. Forgiveness released the fear out of her heart and the symptoms of anger faded away.

In 1986 I was at church one night praying and asking the Lord to do something with my wife. I was venting some of my complaints to Him.
He responded to me and said; “You have enough problems of your own to worry about your wife.”
I was truly shocked when I heard the Lord’s response. Once again my life changed forever that night. I decided I would completely accept my wife the way that she was and I would focus on my issues and try to better myself. When I quit complaining and judging my wife she blossomed like a beautiful flower before my eyes. You see, I always wanted my wife to accept me the way that I was. When I began to accept her unconditionally the way that she was, she began to accept me.

Also in 1986 the Lord spoke to me one day as my wife and I were fighting and she was saying many condescending and hurtful words to me. He said, “When your wife is angry do not take anything she says personal.” This was a game changer for me. Before I understood this I would be crushed and go and feel sorry for myself. After this I just simply let it go in one ear and out the other. I have since learned that when she is frustrated she just needs someone to vent her frustrations on. I now count it an honor to allow her to vent to me. She always feels better and I never take it personal.
In 1987 we were married for ten years. Thing were better but a long way from where I hoped it could be. I remember one night I was in my backyard and I told the Lord, “I will do anything for my marriage to work and be better.” The Lord responded to my prayer and He said, “Take your wife out and bring up an incident that had taken place the first year of our marriage and repent to each other and forgive each other.” This was a very painful thing that had happened in our marriage and I just put it out of my mind and acted as though it never happened. However the hurt of this incident was the root cause of a vicious cycle that was happening in our marriage. For the past nine years about every month we would have a big blow-up fight. She would threaten to leave and divorce me and I would apologize and say I would change. I took my wife out and I told her what the Lord told me to do. We both shared our heart with each other. We repented to each other and forgave each other. Our marriage really began to mend after this event.

In 1988 the Lord called us into the ministry. I am so grateful for His faithfulness to take me by the hand and walk me out of a broken marriage into a wonderful marriage. We still went to though changes and I had to learn many lessons but I can tell you today after thirty-nine years of marriage I love that girl with all my heart and just the thought of life without her breaks my heart. We both truly enjoy each other and we do just about everything together.
I would say, the answer to: “How do I save my marriage” would be to seek the Lord and dedicate your life to him. Be willing to do whatever you need to do to make it work. These are some of the things I learned from the Lord.

2. Don’t be lazy but be diligent
3. Anger issues are really fear issues
4. Accept your wife/husband and work on yourself
5. Never take words spoken in anger or frustration personal
6. Let the Lord heal the deep hurts and wounds of the heart.

​After being married for over 39 years to the same woman I have learned some amazing secrets that have produced a wonderful marriage. The Bible gives instruction in marriage for the husband and the wife. Since I am a husband I focus on my part. I figure my wife’s part is between her and God. However, I will have to give an account to God for my part.
God’s word is life and health to those who find it and do it. A husband is instructed to give his life for his wife, the same way that Jesus gave His life for His bride, the church. If you study the life of Jesus you will see that He never did anything for Himself. Everything He did was for others. When He went to the cross He took responsibility for the sins of His bride, forgave her, and gave her His position before God. He did not condemn her, hold her accountable, or judge her. He took her place and gave her His place. Even to this day Jesus washes His bride with words of acceptance, forgiveness, and honor. He clothes us with His righteousness and gives us His glory. He is coming for a bride that is glorious.
Jesus’ glory was to die on the cross and reconcile us to God. God’s glory is Jesus. God’s glory is also man. When a man gives his life for his wife and family he is operating in the glory of God and doing what God designed him to do.
If you truly desire a wonderful marriage you will do the same thing Jesus did. Everything you do will be for your wife and family. You will do nothing for yourself. You will make yourself last. You will make yourself a servant to your wife and children. No, I’m not saying to become their slave! But you will always prefer them above yourself and put theirs needs ahead of your own. I’m not saying you will never get to do anything for yourself, I’m just saying your wife and family will always be first. You will work hard for them and use your finances for them and not for yourself.  Again I’m not saying you will never get to buy anything for yourself, I’m just saying you will always meet your wife and children’s needs first. I know what you are thinking, “If I do that I will get left out and won’t get anything I want.” It is true, life won’t be fair and you will miss out on a lot of things you may want or like doing. You will pay a price to die to yourself. However the reward you will get is a very happy wife and very secure children. The level of your happiness will soar. You see; if you put yourself first and everything you do is to make yourself happy you will be miserable. Your wife will be miserable and your children will be insecure which is going to cause you great trouble. You will eventually lose your life and your family. Jesus said, “If you will lose your life you will find life. If you will make yourself last He will make you first.” I have been living this way for the past 30 years. Of course I didn’t do it perfectly and as I get older the better I get at doing it. My wife is truly a glorious wife. She is beautiful, confident, successful, and a great leader. I know that I had a big part in who she is. The Bible also says that a man’s glory is His wife. If your wife is unhappy, discontent, a nag, etc. it is a reflection of you. All women need to know that their husband loves them and shows it by putting them first. This gives them great value and security. She will blossom like a beautiful flower if she knows her value that only a husband can give her by putting her first. Your goal should be to do everything in your power to make sure your wife and children are successful and blessed. Their success is a direct reflection of you. If you are so busy trying to make yourself successful you take a huge risk of losing your family. The truth is your family is your success. Nothing else really matters. Nothing else can make you happy. This is God’s design for a happy marriage. If a man puts himself first it disrupts happiness and produces misery. If you will follow God’s design your marriage will flow in true happiness and success.
God rewarded Jesus for His great sacrifice of giving His life for His bride. He received power and authority to rule. He also received a name of great honor. When Jesus received His reward He immediately gave His power and His name to His bride. As a good husband when you receive your rewards from God you too will immediately bless your wife and family, for your entire life is all about blessing your family.  When you give your life for your wife and family you receive power to rule over Satan and his attacks against your family. You can keep your family safe. There have been many times the Lord has prompted me to pray in the Spirit for my family and to this day they are all safe and healthy and prosperous. I have authority over Satan to keep my family safe. You see; if you put yourself first you are going to be so concerned about yourself you cannot hear God’s prompting to pray. Therefore Satan will wreak havoc in your life and in the life of your family. Also if you put yourself first your relationship with your family is going to be broken and your influence in their life is going to be very limited.  If you will give your life for your wife and family you also will receive a name of honor. When your wife and children think of you they will smile and thank God they have a husband and father like you. They will always honor you and respect you. They will come to you for advice or to gain wisdom. It is a place of honor that gives you great satisfaction and joy. You truly do find life when you are willing to lose it for your wife and family. I am truly the most blessed person in the whole world. I hope you will follow the same biblical path that I have taken so that you too can know the great joy and happiness that I know as a man, a husband, a father, a grandfather and soon to be great grandfather.

There is a medicine that is stronger than any medicine on earth. It has no negative side effects. It is free and very easy of obtain. It’s easy to take and you cannot overdose on it. My wife and I have been taking this medicine for over thirty years. This medicine is so reliable that we do not have health insurance and refuse to purchase it. You must understand what redemption is for this medicine to work for you.
There are two immutable (unchangeable) things that took place on the cross. First God placed the sins of the whole world on His Son Jesus. He did this to demonstrate His great love for man and free them from a selfish sin nature that destroys their lives and to free them from Satan’s dominion. Jesus bore your sins and paid the price for your sins in full. Therefore God will never count your sins against you. Jesus reconciled you to God. All who will believe this gospel become born-again and are considered to be sons of God and heirs of God. You become God’s child and He becomes your Father and your God. As an heir of God all the resources of heaven are made available to you. Since Jesus has already paid the price for your sins no one has a right to condemn you even if your fall short and sin. You are forever forgiven and made righteous before your God and Father. Therefore you are accepted and can boldly approach your God.
The second immutable thing that took place on the cross is Jesus bore your judgment for sin, which broke His body. The judgment for sin is recorded in Deuteronomy 28:15-67. It is called the Curse of the Law. Every sickness, disease and pain is recorded in this curse. Jesus bore this entire curse into His own body on the cross and He redeemed you from the Curse of the Law. Isaiah 53 states that “Surely He has borne your sicknesses and diseases and carried your pains and by His stripes you are healed”. These two trues will heal you from any and all sickness, disease, and pain.
The Bible states that we overcome in this world with our faith. Faith is simply to believe God’s word in your heart and then to confess God’s word with your mouth. If you will believe in your heart that Jesus bore your sins and His blood now justifies you before God no one will be able to condemn you. Satan will certainly come to your mind with thoughts or he will flow through a person and attempt to condemn you. When he does we are instructed to operate our faith and resist his accusations against us. For example, if you have thoughts in your mind condemning you, you can resist those thoughts by believing Jesus bore your sins and has already paid the debt for sins therefore with your mouth you can confess, “I am forgive of all my sins, Jesus’ blood justifies me, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” This is how you use your faith to resist the devil. When you resist the devil he will flee from you.
When it comes to receiving healing you do the same thing. When you have a symptom or pain in your body you simply believe in your heart that Jesus bore your judgment for sin, which is all sickness, disease and pain, on the cross. Then you simply confess with your mouth, “By Jesus stripes I am healed, Jesus redeemed me from the curse of the Law, I receive the benefit of healing in my body, for God heals all my sicknesses/diseases”. This is how you resist the devil when he comes to afflict your body.
Your faith in God’s truth releases the power of God to heal you. We are instructed to continue to believe God’s truth in our heart and to confess His truth with our mouth until every symptom and pain leaves. I have been doing this for thirty years and it has never failed me.
Let me say that faith does not replace medical science or nutrition. You can use both or either. All Christians have the Holy Spirit living inside of them. If you will operate your faith the Holy Spirit will give you instruction that will take you to your healing. He may instruct you to stand in faith and trust God alone or He may instruct you to go the route of medical science or nutrition. Whatever routes you take always continue to operate your faith and listen for instructions from the Holy Spirit.
Let me caution you if you are confused or have any doubt at all in your heart about operating your faith, make sure you go the route of medical science or nutrition. DO NOT throw away your medicine or miss your appointments unless you are certain the Holy Spirit tells you to. Some people have died assuming God would heal them with their faith. No! Take your medication, go to your appointments and believe in your heart and confess with your mouth God’s redemptive truths and the Holy Spirit will take you to your healing. The method God uses is not important. What’s important is that you get healed!
