What’s Love got to do with it?
God is Love!

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

​Love has everything to do with it. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Even mankind died spiritually and was separated from God. God is Love. Therefore mankind was separated from God’s love. All mankind have a void in their hearts to be loved, accepted, and to have a sense of worth and value. This void in man’s heart demands to be filled. The sin nature of man tries to fill this void my placing a demand of others to fill it. It looks to the pleasures of this world to fill it. It looks to success, power, and influence to fill it. However, nothing in this world can fill this void. God created man to carry His Spirit. His Spirit is love. Mankind was created to carry God’s Spirit inside of him. Jesus came and reconciled man back to God. He paid the debt of man’s sin by offering Himself as a sacrificial Lamb. He was your substitute. He took your place as a sinner on the cross. God placed all your sin on Jesus and then punished Jesus for your sins. God demonstrated His great love for you when He sent Jesus to be your substitute. Jesus paid the debt for your sin with His own life. His death freed you from all your sins. Now when you believe this gospel you become born again. Your old sin nature dies with Christ and you resurrect with Christ a brand new creation. You get a new spirit and a new heart. God also puts His Spirit inside of you. His Spirit inside of you fills the void in your heart to be loved, accepted, and to have a sense of worth and value. You become a child of God and an heir of God. Jesus traded places with you on the cross. He became sin so you could become righteous. He took your place as a sinner and gave you His place as a righteous son. All this was done for you while you were a sinner. It is God’s great love and His amazing grace demonstrated for you. You can never question God’s great love for you when you understand what He did for you on the cross.
