My identity is in christ jesus!

Who am I? What is my purpose? Why am I here? The whole world looks to answer these questions. The world and Satan offer you everything and anything to try a give you the answer. However, everything it has only leaves you empty and void inside. You were created to be a carrier of God’s great love. His love gives you your identity. When you accept Jesus into your heart you become a child of God. Your identity is a child of God. It is who you are. God’s placed you in Christ. When He looks at you, He sees Jesus, His perfect Son. He no longer counts your sins against you, for Jesus has already paid the debt for your sins with His death on the cross. Therefore, no one has a legal right to accuse you or condemn you, for you cannot condemn those who Jesus has justified. You are now a citizen of heaven and have been adopted into God’s family. You are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus. You get what Jesus deserves. You must renew your mind to your identity in Christ. The question is never, “Am I worthy?” The question is always, “Is Jesus worthy?”  If you truly want to know who you are you must look at Jesus. As you look into the word of God, with an unveiled mind, you are being transformed into the image of Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18). Jesus was the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:29). Jesus said that those who believe in Him would do the same works He did and even greater works (John 14:12). Satan is the one who accuses you when you sin and tries to get you to get your identity through your flesh. If you get your identity through your flesh you will think you are just an unworthy sinner that has been saved by grace. The moment you believe you are unworthy of God you lose your identity in Christ and the void remains in your heart. You are who God says you are. You are a righteous, holy, sanctified, and gloried child of the Great King. You have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13). You are now the children of God’s great mercy. You must know who you are in Christ in order to fill the void in your heart. Now that you know who you are in Christ go and turn the world upside down for Jesus.
