![]() Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Faith is our weapon to overcome in this world. It is our vehicle to take us to all the promises of God. It is the door that gives us access to God’s grace and all of His resources. Faith empowers us be an over-comer, to always triumph and to always have the victory. Under the New Testament we, as believers, are the Just and we live by faith. So what is faith? Faith is simply God’s redemptive word in your heart and in our mouth. What do I mean when I say, God’s redemptive word? God's redemptive word is the truth of what took place on the cross. It is the truth of Jesus’ blood and His broken body. These two truths are immutable, unchangeable, irrefutable and forever settled. Jesus called these two truths the Rock that He will build His church on. The gates (authorities) of hell cannot prevail against the believer that builds his life on these two truths. Jesus said that the storms of life cannot prevail against the person that builds his life on these two truths. On the cross two things took place. The first thing that took place is Jesus bore our sins. God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to bear our sins and die on a cross. At the cross Jesus shed His innocent blood. His blood testifies before God in heaven and also is a witness in our hearts, that Jesus paid the price for our sins in full with His death on the cross. Jesus’ blood now justifies us before God. God will never count our sins against us for they have all been paid for at the cross. We are now forgiven of all sin for our entire life. Jesus’ blood even cleanses our consciousness of sin. Jesus made us righteous before God on the cross. We are now loved and accepted by God. He has even adopted us into His beloved family. We are now born-again. God has given us a new spirit and a new heart. He has also given us His Spirit to dwell inside of us forever. He has placed us In Christ and given us Christ’s identity. This truth is very powerful and it will completely free you from all condemnation. It will empower you to have a wonderful relationship with your Heavenly Father and allow you to boldly come before His presence as a young child comes to a father who adores and loves him. Faith will simply believe this truth in your heart and then it will confess that truth with your mouth. You use your faith, as a weapon, against Satan, for he will surely come to your mind and accuse you of sin and try to condemn. Faith will quench that fiery dart (thought) with the truth of your redemption in Christ. Faith in your mouth may say, “yes I have sinned but Jesus has already paid the price for my sin therefore I receive my forgiveness, and not only that, but I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” Faith will not allow any thought of condemnation in your mind, which in turn, will keep you free to fellowship with your God and to walk with him. The second thing that took place on the cross in Jesus broke His body for you. Not only did Jesus bear your sins but He also bore your judgment for sin. The judgment for sin is recorded in Deuteronomy 28:15-67. It is called the Curse of the Law. Every sickness, disease, pain and poverty is recorded in the curse. God placed that entire Curse of the Law on Jesus as punishment for your sins. Jesus bore that curse and in doing so He redeemed you from it. God will not count your sins against you therefore He will never judge you with sickness, disease, pain or poverty for your sins. Faith believes this truth in your heart. When Satan comes to illegally afflict you with sickness, disease, pain or poverty, faith will oppose him with this truth. Faith will believe you are forgiven and completely free from all judgment therefore faith will confess that you have been redeeming from the Curse of the Law. Faith will speak to take symptom of sickness or that pain in your body and declare, “By Jesus’ stripes I am healed”. Faith will continue to speak to that mountain with the truth of your redemption until it leaves. These two immutable truths will save your life and give you an abundant life. Faith is powerful. It is the greatest weapon you have to ensure a safe, secure, prosperous, and health life on this earth.
