What does that mean?
Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden sin entered into the world and into the heart of every man. All of mankind is now born with sin in our hearts. This sin separates us from God. This sin nature in our heart will not allow us to obey God’s perfect laws of love. Therefore we break His laws and are under His judgment and His wrath. God loved us so much that He sent us a Savior. Someone to save us from this sin nature that rules our heart. Jesus came to this earth from heaven and became a man. He lived a perfect life. He never sinned. His blood was perfect. He came to this earth to trade places with you. He made an exchange with you when He died on the cross. God placed the sins of the whole world on Jesus and then all His judgment and wrath for man’s sin came into Jesus body. It broke His body. He bore your sins and the judgment for your sins. He died on that cross and was buried. Three days later He resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. He ascended with His own blood. He entered into the tabernacle in heaven and He placed His own blood on the Mercy Seat. His blood is the evidence that He died for your sins. He paid the debt for your sins in full. All who will believe this gospel are forgiven of their sins forever and made completely righteous before God. They receive a new spirit, a new heart and God’s own Spirit comes and makes His home in them. Our spirit is born again and perfect before God, however, our souls are in the process of being renewed therefore we still fall short and sin against God. When we do sin Jesus’ blood testifies before God that our sins have already been paid for therefore His blood justifies us. He will never condemn us nor will He ever judge us for our sins. We are forever justified before our God and can boldly approach Him as a young child approaches a father that loves and adores him.
