DAY 20
The Son of Righteousness
Malachi 4:2 But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.
In the Bible the sun is called a bridegroom. Jesus is also called a bridegroom therefore the sun is a picture of Jesus. The sun is the light of the world. Jesus is the light of the world. The individual stars reflect the light of the sun to the earth. Each individual believer reflects the Light of the gospel to the world. God knows the name of each star. He knows your name. The moon is a picture of the church corporately that reflects the light of the Son to a dark world. Every morning the sun rises. This is a picture of Jesus’ resurrection. We serve a resurrected Christ. We too resurrected with Christ into newness of life. We are free from sin and its judgment. God will never count our sins against us because Jesus paid the price for our sins with his own death. In exchange he gave us his abundant life and perfect righteousness. Every night we go to sleep, which is a picture of death but every morning we wake up, which is a picture of resurrection. Every day is a new day. Forget about yesterday with all it hurts, disappointments and failures and press on to the high calling of God on your life. We are the children of the resurrection. We live for today, for today is the day of salvation.
The healing is in his wings. God instructed the Israelites to sow a tassel at the corner of their garments. These tassels are called wings. The woman with the issue of blood reached down and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. She touched the tassel sown in his garment. She touched the Sun of Righteousness’ wings and she was healed. Jesus is the Son of Righteousness. At the cross he fulfilled all righteousness. He made an exchange with all who believe in him. He took our sin and gave us his perfect righteousness as a free gift. He placed on us a robe of righteousness. Now we are the sons of Righteousness with healing in our wings. The Bible says, “These signs shall follow those who believe, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover”. Righteousness and healing go together. The healing power of God is in his righteousness. Every believer has healing in them. Healing and good health is a benefit of believing in Jesus. Healing, good health and abundant prosperity are included in the inheritance of the Saints in the Light that the Father has qualified every believer to be a partaker of. You partake of God’s healing power with your faith. You believe his redemptive word in your heart and you confess his word with your mouth. God gave you his faith so that you can partake of the inheritance he has freely given to you.

PrayerFather I thank you for raising Jesus from the dead. I thank you for raising me with Christ forever free from sin and its judgment. I thank you for giving me your righteousness and qualifying me to be a partaker of the glorious inheritance of the Saints in the Light.

Confession
Jesus is my Rock on which I stand. No condemnation the devil has can prevail against my Rock. No curse of sickness or disease can stand against my Rock. I am the redeemed of the Lord. I will prevail against all demonic activity that comes against me. My God is for me who can be against me.
