DAY 26
The Unjust Judge
Our faith is founded in God’s great love for us. God is our Father and we are his beloved children. He would never harm us or punish us in any way. However he will certainly discipline us and correct us as a loving Father. But he would never harm us or afflict us with sickness, disease, or pain. God is love and God is good. Our faith can only work by love. Not our love for God but his love for us. Our love for God and others will always fall short but God’s love for us will never fail. It is always constant and steady. Because of the cross we can boldly and confidently come to our Heavenly Father and make our requests to him. When we come to our Father we must remember that he is a Judge. He judges according to his spiritual laws that he has established in this world. We must know the laws of God when we come before him. Not that we will ever completely understand all of God’s laws but we do need to understand the fundamental laws that govern our relationship with him. The Holy Spirit in us is our attorney. He completely understands all of God’s laws and all of his ways. He lives in us to help us in all our legal matters. Under the New Testament we are under the “Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus”. Jesus is our representative before our Father. He is our High Priest and our Mediator before God. There is a story in the Bible that shows us a picture of a woman before a judge. In this story we will see a secret to getting our prayers answered. This woman had a legal issue with her adversary. She had been wronged by someone. She knew her rights and she was not going to take no for an answer. She had no power in herself to enforce the law. Her only hope was to go to court and have the judge rule in her behalf. She knew the judge had the power to vindicate her. She knew the judge had the power to make her adversary conform to the law. Even though this particular judge was selfish and did not want to give this woman the time of day he knew she would not give up until he judged in her behalf. He finally gave in and heard her case and judged in her favor. She got her prayer answered. Our adversary is the devil. He comes to our lives to steal, kill, and destroy us. He walks about seeking someone to devour. When he comes to destroy our health we can take our case before the Judge. After Jesus told this story he said, “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" The secret to getting your prayers answered is to have God’s redemptive word in your heart and to speak that word with your mouth night and day until the Judge answers you by fulfilling his word in your life. God will not withhold any good thing from you. He will surely come and heal you.
PrayerFather I thank you for being a righteous judge. I thank you for judging on my behalf as your righteous son. I thank you for delivering me from my adversary the devil and for healing me from every symptom in my body. I thank you for making me your child and your heir.

Confession
God is my Judge. He has judged me righteous and holy in his sight through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Father your New Testament Law has judged me innocent therefore the devil has no legal right to afflict me or steal from me. I am the redeemed of the Lord. Healing and deliverance belongs to me.
